CSW at Coláiste Muire
Catholic Schools Week is a very important week here in Coláiste Muire. It takes place every year during the last week of January.
Our students took part in many classroom activities to celebrate being part of the Catholic School Community and to recognise the importance of living with the Gospel values of love, inclusion and reconciliation in their hearts.
We referenced the week at our School Reception by displaying our PBST Catholic Schools Week Poster and decorating for our Entrance Table with the Irish Catholic Bishops Poster.
Some of our Junior Classes visited the Bible Gardens, where they received a letter containing verses from the Bible describing the love that God has for each of them.
Our Senior Students reflected on the values upheld by Catholics and the love of God through visits to the Garden of Reflection by St. Colman’s Cathedral and through prayer services in class. Other classes participated in some mindfulness colouring exercises, visited The Bible Garden and our TY Team Leaders presented our cheque to Cobh Community Hospital also.
We hope that we can continue to live with the kindness, peace and love that Jesus showed us throughout the school year.
