The launch of the Christmas Food Appeal for St Vincent de Paul took place in Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh on Wednesday 30th November. The food appeal is very much part of the tradition of Spiorad Naomh at this stage as it has been going for well over forty years. The official launch took the part of a Transition Year organised Coffee morning with lots of mince pies, traditional music and festive cheer. The appeal runs for two weeks but even after the first day,  hundreds of items of food had been donated.
