The inaugural PBST Christmas Carols Concert was held in the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Dennnehys Cross, on Tuesday 12th December. Organised by Alison O’Connell, Denise Dorgan and Anne Cleary (teachers in Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh), the concert featured performances from choirs and musicians from Bunscoil Chríost Rí, St Joseph’s NS, Coláiste Chríost Rí and Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh. It really was a joyous and uplifting occasion that got the large attendance in the right spirit for Christmas. Funds were raised for the St Vincent de Paul Society. PBST is very grateful to the teachers mentioned above and also to Anne Murphy (Bunscoil Chríost Rí). Doreen Sheehan (St Joseph’s NS) and Fergus Duggan (Coláiste Chríost Rí) who put so much work into making the event such a success.
