ERA Presentation Ceremony at Mardyke House

Leaders at the 2018 Edmund Rice Action (ERA) summer camp held in Colaiste and Spioraid Naoimh, Bishopstown and Coláiste Muire, Cobh were presented with their certificates by Camps Co-ordinator, Anne Cleary, at a function held in Mardyke House on Friday 15th February 2019. Anne congratulated the awardees on their commitment to the Camps and had a special word to say about each them referencing particular leadership attributes displayed during the camp. The ceremony was also attended by Jemma Halpin and Aishling Mulherrin of the Presentation Brothers Youth Ministry and by Brothers Andrew and Bede. The ERA camps are a long-established tradition in Presentation education and allow children, some of whom come from socially-disadvantaged backgrounds, the opportunity to experience a summer camp involving sport, arts and crafts and a wide range of social activities – along with the much-anticipated day out at Fota. The participation of the student leaders who range from seventeen to early twenties is a wonderful example of youth leadership in action.
